Reverend Dirt is a Dallas-area alternative experimental rock band blending hard rock, alternative, grunge, metal, blues, funk, and Southern Gothic influences into a sound all their own. Formed in 2021 by founding members John Grimes and Daniel Domain, the band has evolved through loss, perseverance, and a relentless willingness to experiment.

Following Grimes' passing in 2023, vocalist and songwriter Myne Carter, bassist Daniel “Big Papa Thump” Domain, and drummer/songwriter Johnny “Animal” McDade pushed Reverend Dirt forward, developing an unconventional sound built around vocals, drums, and a bass guitar running through multiple guitar effects—creating massive rhythm, lead, and atmospheric textures live, without loops or prerecorded backing tracks.

In 2026, guitarist/vocalist Jagger Garner joined the lineup, bringing grunge, Southern Gothic, and alternative influences that expand rather than replace Reverend Dirt's signature bass-driven sound. With Greg “Captain Gerg” Carter behind the board as sound engineer and manager, Reverend Dirt delivers a live show that is heavy, melodic, atmospheric, and unmistakably original.
